Xen Ruiz is a Spanish self-taught painter living and working in Berlin, Germany.
Primarily focused on painting and works on paper, Xen’s practice explores the tension between the theatrical and the everyday, enveloping the viewer in a nostalgic atmosphere that feels both distant and familiar.
Through a melancholic, humorous, and at times provocative imagery, Xen invites reflection on themes such as the passage of time, identity, love, and loneliness, leaving space for questions whose answers may never be revealed.
